On November 30, in the afternoon, Researcher Wu Tongwen ,the director of climate model office, the national climate center, at the invitation of atmospheric science academy, came to our university and delivered an academic lecture entitled The BCC Climate System Model Development and its Application in Climate Prediction.

Wu Tongwen introduced the BCC climate system model from these aspects, the important progress and application in climate prediction business, the work plan over the next five years. He pointed that, in CMIP6, vertical resolution of BCC model has obviously improved, the land surface model has added new physical modules, ocean model has updated from MOM4 to MOM5. After this lecture, both teachers and students have a deeper understanding about BBC models.
