The “sino-german bilateral academic symposium – air heavy pollution and biological aerosol monitoring strategy and new technology research and development to reduce the impact of air pollution on human health” co-sponsored by our school and the university of Munich in Germany was successfully held in chengdu from November 10 to 13. As a follow-up activity of this meeting, on November 13, nearly 20 Chinese and German experts, accompanied by professor Zhang xiaoling of the academy of atmospheric sciences, came to our school for academic visit and investigation. Visiting experts visited the atmospheric science college observatory, plateau atmosphere and environment of sichuan province key laboratory of urban environmental meteorological observatory; The comprehensive meteorological observation field and key open laboratory of atmospheric exploration of the college of electronic engineering (college of atmospheric exploration); The key laboratory in sichuan province colleges and universities of the environment simulation and pollution control in Resources and environment institute of atmospheric.

The experts listened carefully to the introduction of the laboratories and platforms of the three colleges, conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the equipment and contents of interest, and stopped frequently. Experts were impressed by the construction level of the scientific research platforms in the three schools, as well as the campus environment and infrastructure.

After the visit, the experts held a symposium with professor wang shigong, professor zhang xiaoling and some teachers and students of the school of atmospheric science of our university. The two sides had a heated discussion and fully exchanged views on such topics as cooperative research in the field of atmospheric environment and air pollution, joint application for scientific research projects, exchange of young teachers and joint training of graduate students.

This academic visit has achieved a complete success and improved the international visibility of our university, which is of great significance to the promotion of the internationalization of our talents and of our school. Before visiting the school, the experts visited the key laboratory of atmospheric environment research and super observation station of chengdu institute of environmental protection science. The experts actively participated in the conference discussion, visit, investigation and exchange discussion, believing that it is very meaningful and promising to carry out a series of observation, scientific research and application services in chengdu and surrounding areas, which has established a good start for future in-depth cooperation and international exchanges.
