December 8 afternoon, Prof. Jie Cao from Yunnan University was invited to give an academic lecture entitled the variation of the interface between East Asian monsoon and the Indian monsoon in summer and its relation with the SST of Indo-Pacific. He told us how to construct a interface index, which has physically significant and is quantitatively, between the East Asian monsoon and the Indian monsoon. And he studied the distribution, variation and swing range of the interface by analyzing ⅡE (the interface index).

After the lecture, warm applauses were given to Professor Cao and his wonderful report. Students and teachers asked questions and exchange views actively with Professor Cao about the relevant issues deeply which will bring benefits to all.
