Professor Shigong Wang was invited to attend the first China hot spring and climate health tourism international seminar

China’s first international seminar on hot spring and climate health tourism was held in chongqing, capital of hot spring of beautiful world, from October 15 to 17, 2018. The conference was jointly organized by the asia-pacific office of the world hot spring and climate health maintenance federation, China tourism association hot spring tourism branch, chongqing tourism development committee and chongqing meteorological bureau.

More than 120 domestic and foreign experts attended the conference, including the President of the world hot spring and climate health federation – emberto·sorriman, vice President – giovann· Gunnar. Italian expert on climate and environment, spa facilities and quality of life – fabio· esposito. Masaaki otsuka, former President of the Japanese hot spring institute of climate physics and medicine and honorary professor of the university of Hokkaido in Japan. Professor Qing Li, vice President and secretary general of the international association of nature and forests, and President of Japan forest medical research association. Chief expert of world tourism city federation, chairman of China tourism association leisure & vacation branch – Xiaoan Wei, etc.

Shigong Wang, professor of the school of atmospheric science, executive vice President of the institute of environmental meteorology and health, and chairman of the medical meteorology committee of the Chinese meteorological society, was invited to attend the meeting as a health meteorology expert, and gave a speech in the special session of the expert dialogue. Professor Wang briefly introduced the spatial and temporal distribution of climate health care resources in China and the potential for exploitation, especially emphasized the great potential of mountain climate health care tourism development in southwest China, and put forward a new idea that the underground hot spring resources, the surface ecological resources and the climate resources in the lower atmosphere should be integrated organically for comprehensive development and utilization from the perspective of health care, which was recognized and appreciated by the experts and representatives present at the meeting.
