Researcher Haobo Tan was invited to our school for academic report
On the morning of October 21, Haobo Tan, director of guangdong ecological meteorology center, and Yan Wang, director of science and technology department of Shanghai meteorological bureau, were invited to our school for exchange and guidance. The paper entitled “aerosol hygroscopic properties and their effects on optical properties” was prepared by Haobo Tan at the meeting room 310 of the meteorological building. The report is presided by professorXiaoling Zhang. Teachers and students listen to the report carefully and actively discuss and communicate with each other.
Researcher Haobo Tan first introduced that the study on the characteristics of atmospheric aerosol moisture absorption growth is of great significance for the accurate assessment of its radiation effect, environmental effect and human health effect.Secondly, he introduces the pearl river delta region in China for many times about the physical and chemical characteristics of , based on the observation data obtained the aerosol observation in the pearl river delta region, mixed state and water content of hygroscopic parameters variation characteristics, and discussed their influence on aerosol optical characteristics, reveals the complex relations between the visibility, relative humidity and aerosol water content. Finally, the effects of organics on the hygroscopic and activation properties of aerosols were discussed. In the report, the experts communicated and discussed with the teachers and students in the audience, explained patiently for the students, answered questions and solved doubts, created a good academic exchange atmosphere, and increased students’ interest in the research on atmospheric aerosol environmental and climatic effects.
After the report, researcher Haobo Tan visited the key laboratory site in sichuan province for atmospheric and environmental studies on the plateau and gave guidance to the aerosol observation test.
Expert introduction: Haobo Tan, director of guangdong ecological meteorology center, doctor and researcher of atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. Mainly engaged in the observation of physical and chemical properties of aerosols, the formation and transformation mechanism of atmospheric pollution.
