In order to let more people understand the meteorological knowledge, further understand the meteorological instruments, and set up the consciousness of loving science, in the afternoon of September 27th, the science popularization open day hosted by the rainbow meteorology society was launched in our school. The teacher Xiang Wei Guo, a member of academy of atmospheric Sciences weather station, led a part of students came from Chengdu Seventh Middle School, entered the meteorological science base together and meteorological observatory.

At the beginning of the activity, the staff led the participants to the observation field, and explained to them the louvers, the highway weather station, the automatic rainfall monitor and the first class radiation monitoring station and other instruments. Later, the students came to the weather station to follow the teacher’s explanation of the weather forecast process and to know more about the weather forecast.

Through this activity, the students have known the atmosphere and understood the structure and usage of various meteorological instruments and the knowledge of modern weather forecasts, also indicated that such activities are of great significance for developing their interest in science. Clouds scud across, bright or dim, wax or wane, the mystery of atmospheric science is waiting for us to explore.
