Academician Mu Mu of fudan university was invited to our university to give an academic report
On the afternoon of October 25, academician Mu Mu of Fudan university made an academic report on the topic of “preliminary study on the optimal early signs of the outbreak of the original hairstyle MJO” in the international conference hall.
Mu Mu is an atmospheric kineticist, a professor at fudan university and a researcher at the institute of oceanography of the Chinese academy of sciences. He graduated from anhui university in 1978 with a master of science degree in 1982 and a doctor of science degree in fudan university in 1985. He was elected to the Chinese academy of sciences in 2007 and the academy of sciences in 2008. He mainly engaged in atmospheric Marine dynamics and weather and climate predictability research. For quasi-geostrophic motions, he established the second nonlinear stability criterion for Arnold. In the aspect of predictability research, he proposed the conditional nonlinear optimal disturbance method, studied the predictability of ENSO, thermohaline circulation, blocking high pressure, typhoon and kuroshio, and achieved important systematic results.
At the beginning of the report, academician Mu Mu gave a detailed introduction to the current research and elaborated on the MJO event. In the subsequent report, he gave a detailed and vivid description to the teachers and students of the audience about the optimal early signs of the MJO event in terms of water vapor field and dynamic mechanism
After the report, the teachers and students expressed their gratitude to academician Mu Mu, communicated with him about the doubts and opinions of the report content, and had a heated exchange and discussion on the problems in related research topics.
